Arlene Runta

Arlene I. Runta, 88, of Dallas, formerly of Nanticoke, passed away, Thursday, July 21, 2022 at The Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. Born in Plymouth Twp., she was the daughter of the late William and Laura Kolacz (Kowatz) and was a graduate of Shickshinny High School.

Arlene was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church, Harveys Lake. She took pride in being a homemaker, raising her children and keeping a clean house. Some of her favorite passtimes was reading, gardening her flowers, and Penn State Football.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 2011, and sisters, Amelia Harrison and Mary Homzur. Surviving are her daughter, Susan Krzysik and her husband Joseph, of Dallas and her son, Robert Runta and his wife Nancy of Perkasie, Grandchildren, Emma Krzysik, Matthew and Rachel Runta. Sisters, Laura Rydzewski, Helen Wall, Barbara Thomas, Bernice Wnek, Patricia Gavel. Brothers, William and Robert Carver. Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held, Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 10:00 AM at The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pa. 18612 with Funeral Mass at 10:030 AM at Our Lady of Victory Church, Harveys Lake. Interment will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery. Lehman.
