Audrey R. Rogers, 94, of Vernon passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dallas. Born in Kingston Twp. on May 29, 1922 she was the daughter of the late John and Ruth Nafus Shupp. Audrey was a hard worker, fiercely independent and above all, had great love for and dedication to her family. Audrey turned her talent for cooking and baking into a career. She worked for the famous Ranch Wagon as a pizza maker and baked for Coscia's Restaurant. Audrey also dedicated many years to Mercy Center as a cook. Audrey served the community as an elections officer for Northmoreland Twp. For many years Audrey was active with the Vernon Ladies Friendship Club, organizing community and fundraising events. She was a faithful member of the Northmoreland Baptist Church. On March 15, 1946 she married Robert R. Rogers. Together in Vernon, they raised seven children. Surviving are daughters, Kay Love and her husband Richard, Dallas; Ruthann Rogers, Vernon; Audrey Abramson and her husband Philip, Quakertown; sons, Leon Rogers and his wife Joan, Tunkhannock; Carl Rogers and his wife Kathi, East Barre, VT; Alan Rogers and his wife Diana, Marcellus, NY; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Rogers, sister, Marie Wall, brother, Clifford Shupp. Audrey was an adoring grandmother to 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, son John "Jack" Rogers, step-son Donald Rogers, grandson David Rogers, brothers Leslie and John Shupp, Sisters, Pearl Shupp, Freda Woolbert, and Margaret "Peg" McCarty.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 1:30 PM at the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with Pastor James Howell, retired, Northmoreland Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call Saturday, from 11:00 am until time of service. Friends and family are invited to a dinner to honor the life of Audrey at 4:00 pm at Northmoreland Baptist Church.

Audrey's family extends their appreciation to her caregivers over the past three years, especially the wonderful staff of the Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their attentive and compassionate care.
