Bernhard M. Meier

 Bernhard M. Meier, 90, Plains, was called home to our Lord Jesus, Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Bernhard and Johanna Schmidt Meier and was a graduate of Congers High School. 

 Bernhard was an Air Traffic controller supervisor for the Federal Government at Kennedy, LaGuardia, and Newark airports for over 30 years. He had served his country proudly with the Airforce during the Korean War. 

 Bernhard and his wife Gloria enjoyed traveling the United States in their motor during their retirement.

 Bernhard had married his high school sweetheart and was preceded in death by her, the former Gloria P. Madura in 2012. Also, by a sister, Malis Cherewich. Surviving are his children, Daughters, Cheryl DiPasquale, Exeter, Patricia Holter and her husband Rickey Trucksville. Grandchildren, Natasha Holter, Cassandra DiPasquale, and Geena DiPasquale. 

 Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 11:00 AM from The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pa. with The Rev. Dr. William Lewis, officiating. Entombment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. Friends may call Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of service. On line condolences may be made at Disque funeral home.com.
