Bruce H. Strohl Sr., 89, of Dallas, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. Born in Pringle, he was the son of the late Robert W. and Edith Lanning Strohl and attended Dallas Schools. Before retiring, Bruce was a weaver at Brandies Fabrics.
Bruce honorably served his country for over 22 years in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard including a 16-month tour in Korea during the war. Bruce was a member of The Larksville American Legion Post # 655 as well as Daddow Isaacs American Legion, Post #672, Dallas.
Bruce was preceded in death by sisters Myrtle Ellsworth, Murieline Wilson, and Gloria Shillabeer and brothers Robert and Allen Strohl, and great granddaughter, Realynn He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary, daughters Lisa and son-in-law Todd Moser, Gilberta and Rusty Smith Charlene Bryning, sons Bruce Jr. and Larry—and brother Ronald Strohl. In addition, he is survived by his grandchildren, Codi, Brittany, and Brandon Maute, great-grandchildren Elliotte and Bentley Maute, and several nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pa.
