Carolyn Wright

Carolyn J. Wright, 76, Dallas, passed away, Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at The Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Carolyn MacCluskie Johnson and was a graduate of Elmer L. Meyers High School, Wilkes-Barre.

She had worked for Schwartz/Haggerty Food Brokers for some time later retiring from Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Wilkes-Barre. Carolyn was a member of The Huntsville United Methodist Church and was a Sunday School Teacher. She was an avid Solitaire card player and would love to collect one dollar bills with the letter “C” and “J” on them, which would stand for her initials.

Surviving is her husband Willard, with whom she would have celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on August 8, 2018.  Daughter, Laura Vitale and her husband John, Doylestown, Sons, Jamie Wright and his wife Susan, Dallas, Mark Wright, Dallas, and Wade Wright, Dallas. Grandchildren, Jamie, Jessica, Mason, and Melissa Wright and her fiancé Greg Atherholt, Lara Shirey, Lindsay and Kaelyn Vitale. Brothers Walter and Bill Johnson.

Memorial service will be held, privately at the convenience of her family. Arrangements are under the direction of The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas.
