Catherine Hozempa
January 18, 1935 — May 5, 2016
Catherine M. Hozempa, 81, of Shavertown, formerly of Lehman, passed away, Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Hochreiter Phillips. She and her husband Ignatius "Hozey" had owned and operated The Hozey-K Town Tavern in Dallas for many years, as well as Hozempa's Personal Care in Lehman. Catherine was a member of Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas. She was an avid dog lover and adored her dog Chester. Catherine was preceded in death by her Husband Ignatius "Hozey" in 1999, brothers, William, Jim, Francis, and Paul Phillips. Surviving are her daughters, Mary Frances Hozempa, Harveys Lake, Bridget Hozempa-Wycallis and her husband Gerald, Shavertown. Grandchildren, Thomas Weaver, Jr., and Morgan Lynn Weaver. Funeral will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 9:30 Am from The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas with Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at Our Lady Of Victory Church, Harveys Lake. Friends may call Friday, May 13 from 6 to 8 pm at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton
