Charles I. Siglin Jr., age 77, of Dallas, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at The Veterans Administration Medical Center, Wilkes Barre.
Charles was born December 6, 1946 in East Stroudsburg, PA. He was the son of the late Charles and Carolyn Siglin. He was a graduate of Pocono Mountain High School, Class of 1964. Upon graduation, Charles joined the U.S. Marine Corps from 1964 to 1968. He was a member of the 3rd Marine Division in the Republic of Vietnam from May 1967 to May 1968.
In 1968, he became a lineman for Bell Telephone of PA. He soon moved into management, and he became a construction supervisor in Wilkes Barre, PA. In 1984, Charles was assigned to AT&T. His last assignment with AT&T was in the International Satellite Division. He retired from AT&T in 1999, and he then had his own consulting company, working with Pocono Medical Center until 2010, when he retired permanently.
Throughout his life, Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, sporting events, and golfing. Another one of his great joys was cheering for his grandchildren at their ice hockey games.
Charles leaves behind one daughter Alisa Mary Loftus, and husband Brian Loftus, grandchildren Brandon and Amelia Loftus, sister Barbara Lairson, and niece Anna Ajmani. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his daughter Anna Mary Siglin and brother-in-law Richard Lairson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 15, 2024at 10:00 AM from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Hunlock Creek. Friends may call Monday from 9:00 Am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Charles’ favorite charity, Tunnel 2 Towers Foundation, at t2t.org.
