Debra V. James

 Debra V. James, 71, Dallas, passed away, Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital. Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Joan Davis Race and was a graduate of Dallas High School class of 1971 and attended College Misericordia. 

 She had owned and operated Old Mill Crafts for many years and co-owned James Nursery until her retirement. She was a member of the Centermoreland United Methodist Church, was a Sunday School teacher, served on several church committees, and led the church youth group for many years. More recently, she was a faithful attendee of Fellowship Church, Dallas. 

 Debra was preceded in death by the love of her life husband, William David James, in 2007 and infant daughter Megan Johannah James in 1983. Surviving is her brother, Willard Race, Jr. and his wife Sandy, Dallas. Niece, Kristyn Ecenrode and her husband Shane, Dallas. Nephews, Willard Jason Race, III, Saranac Lake, NY and Michael Race and his wife Natalie, Dallas. Six great nieces and nephews, Brady, Camryn, Woodrow, Willard, IV, Cornelia, and Joseph. 

 Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, PA.
