Dolores W. Mohr, Newberry Estates, Dallas, passed away, Saturday, June 30, 2018 at The Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. She was born in Glenwood, Iowa to Avis (Miller) Wright and Walter M. Wright. She graduated from high school in Ames Iowa and from Iowa State University. She resided in Iowa, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Belgium before retiring to Dallas, Pa.
While residing in Morristown, NJ, she was a member of the Presbyterian Church on the Green, a member of the choir, and a circle leader. She was also a member of the Morristown Woman’s Club, and the League of Women Voters.
She has been a member of The First Presbyterian Church in Wilkes-Barre and a choir member for 36 years. She was treasurer of the Wilkes-Barre YMCA, a member of the VNA League Board, a member of the Dallas Rotary Anns and the Harveys Lake Yacht Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Dean Wright and sister, Barbara Lantz. Surviving is her husband of 70 years, Archer E. Mohr, at home, daughters Carol Bessette, Williston Vermont, and Candace Burnside, Beaumont, Pa. Grandchildren, Holly Burnside and Michael Burnside. Sister, Virginia Lewis.
Funeral will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM at The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc. 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas with the Rev. Robert Zanicky, pastor, First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Entombment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. Friends may call Tuesday from 10:00 Am until time of service.
