Donna Hanson

Donna Hanson, 57 of Harveys Lake, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at her residence. Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Shirley Roat Hanson. She was a graduate of Lake Lehman High School class of 1982, Kings College with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Science and Chestnut Hill College with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology.

Donna had been employed by Hanson’s Amusement Park, Northeast Counseling Services and Cornerstone Counseling and Consulting Specialists until her retirement. She was an avid supporter of animal rescues volunteering at One Life to Live Pet Rescue and Adoption. Donna was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR fan.

Donna is survived by brothers, David Hanson and his fiancé Amber Nociasta, Harveys Lake, The Honorable Correale Stevens and his wife Louise, Mountaintop, Donald L. Hanson, Hollywood, Florida, Bruce Hanson and his wife Carole, Harveys Lake, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces. Donna’s family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of Hospice of the Sacred Heart and Salamatu Jalloh of Griswold Home Healthcare for their compassionate care given to Donna.

Memorial service will be held privately at the convenience of her family. Arrangements are under the directions of The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc. 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pa. 18612.
