Elizabeth M. Betty Handley

 Elizabeth M. Betty Handley, 80 Huntingdon, Pa. formerly of the Wilkes-Barre area, passed away, Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Geisinger Hospital, Lewistown. Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Delbert and Florance Wich Johns and was a graduate of Coughlin High School. She furthered her education with an associates degree in Secretarial Administration.

 Betty was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Dallas as well as the secretary for the church for 12 years. She attended The Ardenheim Independent Brotheren Church in Huntingdon. She was also a member of Harmony Chapter #58 Order of the Eastern Star and formerly Mt. Union #280 Order of the Eastern Star. She was a Past Matron of Harmony. Past President of Wyoming Valley Patron’s Association. Secretary of The Welsh Foundation. She was a former Rainbow Girl and Grand Cross of Color. Some of her favorite activities was embroidering and puzzles. 

 Betty was preceded in death by her first husband, Morris Jones in 1982 and second husband, David Handley in 2018 and Son Jeffrey Jones. She is survived by her sons, Delbert Jones and his wife Denise, Hudson, Fla. and Doug Jones and his wife Nancy, Tunkhannock. 20 Grandchildren. Sister, Barbara Jones, Huntingdon, PA.

 Funeral service will be held, Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 11:00 AM from Trinity Presbyterian Church 105 Irem Road, Dallas, PA. Interment will be in Fern Knoll Burial Park, Dallas. Friends may call from 9:00 AM until time of service at the church. Donations, if desired may be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church, Dallas. Arrangements are under the direction of The Richard H.
