Elsie Gransden

Elsie H. Gransden, 77, Dallas, passed away, Saturday, November 11, 2017 in the comfort of her home. Born in Saline, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Marguerite Buehler Burmeister and was a graduate of Saline High School. Elsie took great pride in decorating her home for the holidays and enjoyed watching her favorite programs, The Golden Girls and The Walton's. Elsie's love of nature inspired her joy of flowers and birds. Elsie was a self-employed housekeeper for many families for over thirty years. She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Burmeister, sister, Mary Laprade, and grandson, Alex Carr. Surviving are her daughters, Beth Carr and her husband John, Raleigh, NC., Shelley Shurites and her husband Charlie, Dallas, son, Roger Gransden and his wife Michelle, Shickshinny, six Grandchildren, a sister, Dorothy Lindeman, and brothers, Kenneth and David Burmeister. Funeral will be held Wednesday at 11;00 am at The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with The Rev. James Paisley, pastor St. Therese's Church, officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. Friends may call Wednesday from 10:00 am until time of service.
