Frank Summa

Frank J. Summa, Sr., 89, Dallas, passed away, Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Mercy Center, Dallas. Born in Kingston, He was the son of the late Theodore and Theresa Grilz Summa and had attended St. Nicholas High School, Wilkes-Barre. He was a Switchman for Commonwealth Telephone.

Frank was a member of Gate of Heaven Church and was a former member of The Knights of Columbus.  Frank was a veteran of WW II serving in the Navy. He was also a former member of Daddow Isaacs American Legion Post #672, Dallas.

Frank was preceded in death by brothers, Theodore and Robert Summa. Surviving is his wife of 65 years, the former Alice Pavlick. Sons, Frank J.  Summa, Jr., and his wife Pam, Dalton, Stephen Paul Summa and his wife Pat, Jacksonville, Fla., and David Summa and his wife Cheryl, Lehman. 8 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren

Funeral will be held Friday, April 27, 2018 at 10:00 am from The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with Funeral Mass at 10:30 Am at Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas with The Rev. Daniel Toomey, pastor, Gate of Heaven Church, officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 8 PM. Frank’s family would like to send a special gratitude to Jennie and John.
