Garth Andrade

Garth R. Andrade, 60, Dallas, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital. Born in Mineola, NY, he was the son of the late Harry and Elizabeth McWilliam Andrade and was a graduate of Coughlin High School and Harvard University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.

Garth was an administrator with Lackawanna Junior College and a teacher at Wyoming Seminary. Through his many years of service in education, he also served as a football coach for a number of Wyoming Valley schools.  He was an avid sports fan and followed the Chicago Bears, the Boston Red Sox, and the Boston Bruins.

Garth was preceded in death by a brother, David Andrade. Surviving are his wife, the former Jackie-Jo Notari; sons, C.J. Coolbaugh of Luzerne, Pvt. Joseph Coolbaugh (USMC) and his fiancé, Haley James of Dallas; sister, Barbara Andrade and her husband Ben Rousseau of Boston.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 2:00PM from The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc. 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas. Those attending will be required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing. Online condolences may be made at Disquefuneralhome.com.
