George C. Comerosky, 63, Shavertown, passed away, Monday, September 18, 2017 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late George and Julia Aregood Comerosky and was a graduate of Hanover High School and Wilkes College with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Biology. George was an Insurance Claims Adjuster with CNA and Traveler's Insurance Companies. He had also worked for Air Products for some time. George had attended Prince of Peace Episcopal Church, Dallas. George was very active and held a strong commitment to Fidelity Lodge #655 Free and Accepted Masons, Wilkes-Barre, Pa. He was awarded his 25th anniversary pin earlier this years. During his 25 years, he held almost every office and trustee rolls including Worshipful Master for 2 years. He has conferred dozens of degrees and brought many brethren into the lodge. Also, he was a 32 degree Mason and an active member of the Shriner's of North America through his membership with Irem Shrine. George loved to go duck hunting and was a Committee member of the local chapter of Ducks Unlimited for fifteen years. He had been a volunteer fireman with Hanover Township Station #4 and worked as Wedding Photographer in the 1990's. He also liked to play golf in Charity Tournaments (but it was more charitable that they let him play). George and his wife Lynda celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary on September 10th. But George's favorite activity was spending time with his daughter Barbara Grace. From the time she was born, she was his entire focus and no one could have asked for a more attentive father. He was preceded in death by a brother Hugh Bell. Surviving are his wife the former Lynda Dunn, Daughter, Barbara Grace Comerosky, both at home. Sisters, Elizabeth Yakavonis and Marcia Callahan. Funeral will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 9:30 am at Prince of Peace Episcopal Church, Dallas with The Rev. Joseph Rafferty, officiating. Friends may call Monday from 7 to 9 PM at The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas. Those attending the Funeral are to go directly to Prince of Peace Church. Fidelity Lodge #655 will conduct Masonic services Monday evening.
