Harry l. Wood, III

 Harry L. Wood, III, 83, Jenkins Twp., passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025 at his residence. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Harry L. and Ethel Price Wood Jr. and was a graduate of Elmer L. Myers High School. 

 Harry spent his entire life working as an electrician. He was the owner of Wood Electrical Associates for many years, and most recently part owner and electrical inspector for BHW Construction Consulting Services, Inc. Harry was also an electrical inspector with Hanover Twp. for 20 years. Harry was a member of Lodge #61 F&AM, Wilkes-Barre. Past Potentate Irem Shrine 2007 and CABIRI. Legion of Honor Irem. Wilkes-Barre Shrine Club. He was also the Recorder for Irem Shrine. Harry had served his country proudly with the Army and was a member of Joseph A. Conlon post #558 American Legion, Plains. 

Harry was a respected and dedicated man who worked until the age of 83 years old, until he became unable to do so any longer. He most loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his extended family at BHW Consulting. Through the years he was an avid bowler, a faithful Eagles and Phillies fan, and loved cruise vacations with Betsy. 

 Harry was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, the former Elizabeth Betsy Bonsavage in 2013. Surviving is his daughter, Sharon Wood, Shavertown. Sons, Scott Wood and his wife Nancy, Boynton Beach, Florida, and Steven Wood and his wife Amy, Hanover Twp. Grandsons, Scott and Aron Wood. Sister, Hilda Pace (Georgia), as well as a niece and several nephews. Harry also leaves behind his beloved dog Susie. 

 Visitation will be Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas. Entombment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery at a later date. On line condolences may be made at Disquefuneralhome.com
