Helen was born in Jackson Township on the farm where she had her home. Born November 25, 1916 Helen was the daughter of the late Gustov Robert Splitt and Maude Bulford Splitt. Her husband was the late Norman C. Franklin. They were married over 39 years. Two loving daughter's preceded her in death Kathleen H. Hinnegan and Carol May Sutrynowicz. Both girls had careers in nursing. Helens loving granddaughter, Carol E. Hinnegan, and her brother Durwood Splitt preceeded her, along with Terrance Newell, her great newhew. Helen attended the one room Ceasetown School. She graduated from Dallas Twp., school class of 1935. Helen was a home maker giving time to family and friends when needed. During the time she and Norman lived in Horsham Pa, she was active in the Grace Presbyterian church and the schools her girls attended. Helen was a charter member of the Horsham Women's Club and the Harvesters Senior Group where she took active part in both organizations. Moving back to Jackson Twp. in 1975 she again attended her home church Jackson United Methodist. There she served as a trustee, secretary, treasurer and various other offices for over 20 years. She was a member of the Jackson Twp. Ladies Auxiliary and the Dallas Senior Citizens. After the Jackson United Methodist Church was sold, she was an active member of the Huntsville United Methodist Church. Helen will be remembered for starting an old school days reunion for classmates who attended one room schools in Jackson Twp. She will also be remembered for her faithful service to God and caring for those around her. She is survived by her niece Sandra Morris, grandchildren; Dianna Waclawski and husband Tony; Kathleen Ann DiClementi; Michael Sutrynowicz and wife Deena. Great Grand Children; Cody, Trevor ,Anthony, Alex, Dianna, Jonathan, Luke & Chase. Great Great Grandchild ; Brooke. Funeral will be held, Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 11:00 Am at The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with The Rev's. Carol Coleman and Thomas Morris officiating. Interment will be in Lehman Center Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 am until time of service.
