Helen Rollman

Helen L. Rollman, 93, a patient at Mercy Nursing Center, Dallas, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021. Born on July 19, 1927 in Wilkes-Barre, Helen was the daughter of the late Christian and Elizabeth Pape Rollman. She attended St. Nicholas Grade School and Meyers High School in Wilkes-Bare.

Helen had been employed by General Cigar Company for many years and later by the Meadows Nursing Center in Dallas prior to her retirement. She was an avid card player and loved family gatherings where she would ask “when is the card game going to start?"

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were sisters Catherine Monroe, Rose Rollman, Ruth Jurish, Mary Lewis, Betty McGuigan and Joan Hofmann; brothers Bernard, Joseph and Charles Rollman.

She is survived by sisters Claire Kotula, Cape Coral, Florida/Syracuse and Peg Thomas, Dallas and brother, Frank Rollman, Dallas, as well as many nephews and nieces.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday. March 3, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Gate Of Heaven Church, Machell Avenue, Dallas with Fr. Daniel Toomey officiating. Interment will be at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Shavertown. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas. There will be no calling hours. Those attending the church service are to adhere to masks and social distancing requirements.
