Henry Popp

Henry J. “Jack” Popp, 85, Dallas, passed away, Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Vineland, NJ, he was the son of the late William and Elfriede Zickler Popp and was a graduate of Vineland High School and Lewis Hotel School, Washington DC.

Jack was a Driver and in sales with Entenmann’s Bakery for many years. He attended Trucksville United Methodist Church. He was also a member of Daddow Isaacs American legion Post #672, Dallas. Jack loved Big Band Era music and Frank Sinatra. Jack loved spending time with his very much loved grandchildren.

Jack was preceded in death by a son, Bill Popp, brothers Franz and Kurt Popp, and Sister, Charlotte Popp. Surviving are his wife of 43 years, the former Annamae Errickson, Daughters, Brenda Gealy and her husband Gomer, Spring Brook, Pa., Staci Miller and her husband Ray, Kingston, Melanie Robertson and her husband Darryl, Willis, TX, Step-son, Robert Robbins and his wife Gayle, Harding, 9 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. His cat “Sam”  was always at his side.

Funeral will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 11:00 Am from The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with The Rev. Jay E. Jones, pastor, Trucksville United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM.
