Irene Yekel

Irene D. Yekel, 90, Hanover Twp., passed away Monday, December 2, 2013 at Ridgeview Nursing Center, Shenandoah, Pa. Born in Detroit Mich, she was the daughter of the late Ignatius and Cecelia Wendt Rynkiewicz. Irene was a seamstress for local clothing companies. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 609, Lee Park., Wilkes Barre. Preceding her in death were her husband Richard Yekel and Sisters, Virginia Migliore and Bernadine Corcoran, Brothers, Edward, Henry, Richard, Joseph Rynkiewicz. Surviving are a daughter, Joann Ahlbrandt, Manville, NJ, 2 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren, Brother, Casimer Rynkiewicz, Sister, Mary Lushefski, Plymouth both of Plymouth. Funeral will be held Friday at 11 Am at The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas with the Rev. Dr. William Lewis, officiating. Entombment will be in Chapel lawn memorial park, Dallas. Friends may call Friday from 10 am until time of service.
