James Goodwin

James Carl Goodwin “Carl” 84, Trucksville, passed away Friday, April 30, 2021 at his residence. Born in Trucksville, he was the son of the late Carl and Margaret Rice Goodwin and was a graduate of Dallas Borough-Kingston Twp. High school as well as Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in Science and Master’s degree in Education and history. He had also attended University of Virginia in the Doctoral Program.

Carl had taught history at Northern Potter School District, Loyalsock Twp. School district, Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School for 35 years. He was the President of Colonial Education Association at Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School. Board of director’s Pennsylvania State Education Association, representing Bucks and Montgomery Counties. He was also a member of the Resolutions committee of National Education Association., Chairman of Charter Yes for Luzerne County. Carl was also a member of the Kingston Twp. Board of Supervisors.

Carl is survived by a brother, Donald Goodwin, of Sebring, Florida.   Memorial services were held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of The Richard H.
