Kenneth Spencer, Sr.

Kenneth R. Spencer, Sr., 83, Dallas, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Herbert and Ruby Gardner Spencer.

Kenneth was involved in maintenance with various businesses including Chacko’s Bowling, Back Mountain Bowling, Mark II restaurants and Triangle Lumber. He was also a driver for his son’s business, Ken’s lawn service. Ken served his country proudly in the Army for 20 years. He was a member of Daddow Isaacs American Legion Post 672, Dallas. He was in numerous bowling leagues including Chacko’s, Modern Lanes, and Back Mountain. He also enjoyed hobbies such as Plastic and Wood crafts.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Spencer and a brother, Herbert Ivan Spencer. Surviving are his daughter, Patricia Grantham, California., Sons, Kenneth Spencer Jr. and his wife Linda, Hanover Twp., Victor Spencer, Toms River, NJ., Ronald Spencer, Phila., John Spencer, and Troy Spencer, Nanticoke. Several Grandchildren and numerous Great Grandchildren. Sisters, Pauline Griffiths and Ruby Fulkersin. Brothers, Fred, David, and Stanley Spencer.

Memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 11:00 AM at The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pa. 18612 with Reverend Richard J. Cirba, officiating.
