Kenneth L. “Kenny” Small, 66, Shavertown, passed away Monday, April 12, 2021 at his residence after a yearlong battle with Bile duct Cancer. Born in Montreal Canada, November 16, 1954. He never faltered or cowered; he was determined to tackle his illness head on and make a full recovery so he could continue enjoying life with his lovely wife, Jane. Kenny enlisted in the Army in 1971, during the Vietnam war, because he wanted to serve our country. For more than ten years, Kenny was employed as a Polysomnographer, performing sleep studies for St. Luke’s of East Stroudsburg and after retiring, continued working perdiem at John Heinz Rehab hospital in the monitor room on the brain injury unit. Kenny loved working on graphics and creating photos. He was living his dreams, bringing his images and ideas with his creative imagination to life. His unique brand of creativity and talent touched thousands through all the graphics and memes he would make his family and friends on Facebook. He was a very loving and devoted family man. Kenny was generous and always thinking of others. He was never bitter or negative. He always looked on the bright side of life. He was always a kind, joyful spirit. Kenny also enjoyed traveling to explore new locations. Sadly, his illness was too aggressive and he left us far too early. The world has lost someone truly special and he will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Ann(Kelly) Small, who raised him. Surviving are his loving wife of seven years, the former Jane Kunkle, at home. Children, Jordan and Tyler Nulton, Naomi Raia, Ty Raia and his wife Bella. Sister, Debra Smith, Robin Smith. Brother Sherman Smith. Nieces and nephews. Along with his many Canadian relatives. Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pa. 18612. COVID 19 requirements are masks and social distancing.
