Lorraine Hozempa

Lorraine M. Hozempa, 91, of Mt. Top, passed away, Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, surrounded by her husband, children and grandchildren. Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Eleanor Jones Evans. She was a attended Elmer L. Meyers High School, Wilkes-Barre. She resided in Dallas most of her life prior to moving to Mt. Top. Lorraine loved to travel in their motor home, seeing many beautiful places across the country. She especially loved spending the winters in Florida. She was a member of Fellowship Evangelical Free Church. Lorraine was affectionately known as Nana to her nine Grandchildren and eleven Great Grandchildren. Lorraine was preceded in death by her first husband of 48 years, Marcus F. Hozempa and infant brother, Ralph, Jr. She is survived by her second husband of 14 years Frank Wassil, Sons, Gary R. Hozempa, and his wife Diane, Dallas,, Mark J. Hozempa and his wife Patty, Dallas. Daughters, Diane H. Bryant and her husband Brad, Dallas, Carole L. Shearer and her husband Mark, Reading, and nine Grandchildren and eleven Great Grandchildren. Funeral will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2015 at 9:00 AM at The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with The Rev. Marc Ramirez, pastor Fellowship Evangelical Free Church, officiating. Interment will be in Hanover Green Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
