Mildred Wheeler, 93 Shavertown, passed away, Friday, September 3, 2021 at The Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. Born in Shavertown, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Genevieve Honeywell Price and was a graduate of Kingston twp. High School.
Mildred was a member of The Shavertown United Methodist Church, as well as The “Red Hat Society”, Lily of the Valley. The Senior citizens of Dallas. She was a seamstress for Leslie Fay, previously Natona Mills until her retirement.
Mildred was preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene “Ted” Lavelle and second husband, James Wheeler. Sister, Reba Cobleigh and brother, Fred Price. Surviving are a son, Larry Lavelle, Dallas and a Grandson, Scott Lavelle, Dallas.
Funeral service will be held, Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM from The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pa. 18612 with The Rev. Jon Buxton, pastor Shavertown United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Huntsville Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time of service.
