Miriam Harwell

Miriam June Harwell March 11, 2016 Miriam June Harwell, 83, of Dallas PA, passed away peacefully, Friday, March 11, 2016 at The Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. Walking by faith in Jesus, she ended her earthly journey in that sure hope of the resurrection and eternal life promised by the Lord she loved. Born in Mount Airy, NC, she was the daughter of the late William and Letha Beckwith Rahenkamp. She graduated from Marion College and Ball State University. She was an elementary teacher in the Mississinewa School District in Indiana. She was actively involved with church activities at South Marion Friends Church and later at Brinker Heights Wesleyan Church both in Indiana. Surviving are a son, Jerry Bradford and his wife Marnetta, Shavertown, a daughter, Sherry Ontko and her husband Keith, Avon, CT; 7 Grandchildren; 2 Great-Grandchildren; 2 brothers James and Joseph Rahenkamp; and 3 sisters Geneva Beck, Phebe Bartolomeo and Lois Bower. Miriam was preceded in death by her first husband, James Edgar Bradford in 1985 and second husband Eugene Harwell in 2007; three sisters Eunice Rhoades, Naomi Erbe, Vivian "Ray" Rahenkamp and one brother Paul Rahenkamp. Funeral will be held Monday, March 14, 2016 at 3:00 PM at The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Friends may call Monday from 2:00 pm until time of service.
