Nancy Falzone

Nancy S. Falzone, 101, Wyoming, passed away, Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Highland Manor Nursing Center, Exeter. Born in Jessup, she was the daughter of the late Nazzareno and Rosa Paoletti Simoncini and was a graduate of Pittston Area schools.

Nancy had worked in the garment industry most of her life with area clothing establishments. Nancy was a member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church, Wilkes-Barre and was a very active member of The Holy Cross Society of the church and was the director of the Altar Guild for many years. She was a very staunch supporter of her church in many activities within the church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Joseph Falzone. Sister, Desales Falzone and brother, Raymond Simoncini. Surviving are her sisters-in-law, Mary Falzone, Marjorie Falzone, and Virginia Falzone. Godchildren, Angela Grady and John Calabrese. Several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Funeral will be held Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Holy Cross Episcopal Church, 373 North Main Street, Wilkes-Barre with The Rev. Timothy Alleman, pastor, Holy Cross Episcopal Church, officiating. Interment will be in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at The Richard H, Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pa. 18612. Those attending the funeral are to go directly to the church. Friends may also call at the church from 9:00 AM until time of service. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Holy Cross Episcopal Church, c/o 373 North Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, Pa., 18705. Nancy’s family would to thank the staff and nurses of Highland Manor for the wonderful and professional care given to Nancy.
