Patricia Conlon

Patricia Conlon, 85, Dallas, passed away, Monday, November 30, 2020 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Dublin, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Turner Matthews and was a graduate of Loretto Convent, Fox County, Dublin and York City University with a degree in Public Health.

Patricia was a health resource coordinator with The New York City Department of health. She was a member of Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas as well as a member of the Altar and Rosary society. Patricia would volunteer many hours at The Meadows Nursing Center.

Patricia was an adventurous traveler, enjoying many trips overseas and cruises with her husband. She enjoyed connecting with far away family and friends over Facebook.  She will be most remembered for her sharp sense of humor, her strong faith in God, and her caring heart.

Patricia was preceded in death by a brother, Brian Matthews. She is survived by her husband Philip, at home; daughter, Janet Kiska, Shavertown; sons, Philip Conlon and his wife Stephanie, Huntington, VT and Brian Conlon and his wife Jane, Bellerose, NY; sister, Louise McNab and her husband Fran, County Wexford, Ireland; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 11:00 am at Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas. Interment will be in Fern Knoll Cemetery, Dallas. Friends may call Thursday from 10:00 am until 10:45 am at The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pa. 18612.
