Peter Oster

Peter Oster, 85, Trucksville, passed away, Thursday, July 13, 2017 at his residence. Born in Warrior Run, he was the son of the late Peter and Hilda Bath Ostrofski and was a graduate of Meyers High School, Wilkes-Barre. Peter was a Truck Driver and member of Teamsters Union #401 with Mason and Dixon Lines and later Ward Trucking. After his retirement he was a courier for Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital. Peter was a 50 year member of Coalville Lodge # 474 F & AM, Sugar Notch, Caldwell Consistory, Bloomsburg, Irem Shrine and the Transportation Unit of the Shrine.. Peter was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his wife the former Dorothy Chalk, at home, Sons, David Oster and his wife Claire, Dallas, Tx., Mark Oster and his wife Cheryl, Oster, Trucksville, Granddaughter, Lexie Oster. He was preceded in death by Brothers, William, and Clyde, Sisters, Delphine Beecham, Hilda Davis, and Jane Oster. Funeral will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas.
