Peter Roushey

Peter L. Roushey, 91, Shavertown, passed away, Monday, August 6, 2018 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Dallas, he was the son of the late Peter and Nora Pollock Roushey and was a graduate of Dallas High School. He was a member of The Dallas United Methodist Church, Dallas. Peter was very active in the church in his early days.

Peter was a WW II Veteran in The Army Air Force. He was also a member of The Daddow Isaacs American Legion Post 672, Dallas, as well as a 50 year member of Masonic Lodge #61, F & AM, Wilkes-Barre, Odd Fellows, and The Back Mountain Men’s Ecumenical Group. Peter was an avid hunter and fisherman, and gardener. He had worked as an Electric Draftsman for Smith Miller Associates before his retirement.

Surviving is his wife the former Carol Isely at home. Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11:00 Am at The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with the Rev. Craig Gommer, pastor Dallas United Methodist Church, officiating.  Friends may call Saturday from 9:30 AM until time of service.
