Richard F. Chintala, 78, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 25, 2024. Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, on November 8, 1946, he was the son of George M. and Angela U. (Pepe) Chintala.
Richard graduated from Exeter High School in 1964 and attended Millersville University. He started his career at Suburban Publishing in West Pittston and then moved on to Eureka Specialty Printing in Dunmore. He later served as Purchasing Agent for Offset Paperback, Dallas, ultimately becoming Operations Manager at Command Web Offset, New Jersey. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he will be remembered for his love of race car driving, gardening, deep sea fishing, golfing and deer hunting.
Richard is survived by his fiancée, Nancy Jane Thomas of Dallas, Pennsylvania; his brother George and wife Maureen of New Jersey; and his children, John Chintala of Florida, Angela Jackson of California, and Ann Marie O’Hara of Florida. He is also remembered by his extended family, including numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Per Richard's wishes, there will be no calling hours, and a private funeral will be held. Arrangements are entrusted to the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Richard’s name to St. Ann’s Shrine Basilica, 1233 St. Ann St., Scranton, PA 18504.
