Robert H. Williams, 89, passed away peacefully at his home in Dallas, Pennsylvania on February 14, 2021. Robert was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on October 4, 1931 to the late Jesse and Martha Davis Williams. Following his graduation from Meyers High School in 1949, Robert served his country proudly in the United States Army. Following retirement, Robert started most days off with breakfast at Friendly’s or Ollie’s, enjoyed long weekend drives, Wednesday date nights at Patti’s, and regularly attended Sunday service as a member of the Lehman United Methodist Church. Bob loved spending time with his family; whether it was teaching his grandsons to drive a stick, enjoying a houseful of company over the holidays, or just meeting his great grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his late wife, Lois Arner; partner for life, Helen Dymond; and siblings, Arline Kennedy, Jesse Williams, Charles Williams, and Roger Williams. He is survived by his sister, Martha Ann Thomas; daughter, Lori Williams Criser, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. He will also be remembered by his adopted family who loved and cared for him: children, Debbie Dymond and her fiancé John Balut, Gary Dymond, and late Linda Watkins; grandchildren, Matthew Mark and Ryan Mark; and great grandchildren, Birdie and Charlotte.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, PA 18612. Online condolences can be made to Disquefuneralhome.com
