Rose Oliver

Rose A. Oliver, 75, Shavertown, passed away, Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Allied Hospice, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Rose Filippini Snopek and was a graduate of Plains High School.

Rose was a member of St. Therese’s Church, Shavertown. She was a computer programmer with Sally Mae for some years and was affiliated with First Eastern Bank until its closure. Rose very much enjoyed theater and would attend many shows. She also enjoyed traveling and new experiences.

Rose was preceded in death by her sister, Catherine Neishell. Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Gerald Oliver at home. A sister, Adeline Tresler as well as several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held, Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 6:00 PM from The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pa. Friends may call from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. On line condolences may be made at Disquefuneralhome.com.
