Shirley Barto

Shirley M. Barto (Schneiderite), 80, Shavertown, passed away, Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at the residence of her daughter in Dallas. Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late William Edward and Ethel Cook Schneiderite. She graduated from Lake Lehman High School.

Shirley was employed by the Meadows Nursing Center before her retirement. She was a very giving and helpful person to others in need. Her favorite things to do were gardening, walking, and hiking. She was often on the back of her family’s motorcycles riding in the wind.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Barto, sister, Agnes Smith and brother, William Schneiderite. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Baer, husband Thomas, grandson, Mark Mueller wife Sabrina, and great grandchildren, Mark and Mia Mueller.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM from The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with The Rev. Dr. William Lewis, officiating.
