Sterling A. Barnes

Sterling A. Barnes, 78, Hunlock Creek, passed away Friday, April 11, 2025 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital. Born in Kingston, he was the son of the late Sterling Barnes and Marjorie Mottern and was a graduate of Lake Lehman High School.

Sterling had a successful career was a truck driver. Many of Sterling’s favorite hobbies included small engine repair, motorcycles, quad riding and spending time with friends and family. Sterling had served his country proudly with the Navy during Vietnam.

Sterling was preceded in death by a son, Sterling, and the Barnes twins. Surviving are his wife Shirley. They would have been celebrating 57 years marriage on April 27. Daughters, Tammy Ashman, North Carolina and Cindy Barnes, Beaumont. 7 Grandchildren. 8 Great grandchildren. Brother, Larry Barnes and wife Barb.
