Viola Wickkiser

Viola “Vicki:” Wickkiser, 79, Dallas, went to be with her Savior on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. She was born August 9, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Phillip and Loretta Hoover Pascoe. Vicki was a 1956 National Honor Society Graduate of E. L. Meyers High School, Wilkes-Barre. She was a member of The Outlet Free Methodist Church. She was known for her beautiful voice, and enjoyed singing in the choir.

Vicki loved spending time with family and friends. Everyone who knew her was drawn in by her warmth, beautiful smile, captivating laugh and caring ways.

Vicki retired from the Dallas Area Municipal Authority where she was the office manager for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husbands Evan Griffiths, James Russell Wickkiser, Edward Wickkiser, Fiancé Edward Shellhamer, niece Phyllis Pascoe, and brother Philip F. Pascoe.  Surviving are daughters Colleen K Fresco and her husband Dominick, Whiting, NJ, Suzy Fueshko and her husband Mark, Mehoopany, son John Murray III and his wife Wendy, Tunkhannock. Grandson, Dominick Fresco III, Granddaughters, Kristyn Murray and Jamie Murray, great grandson Dominick Fresco IV, and Brother George Pascoe.

Funeral will be held Monday, January 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM at The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with The Rev. Richard Womer, officiating. Interment will be in Warden Cemetery, Dallas. Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 pm.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at The Gardens of Tunkhannock and also Allied Hospice for the kindness and compassion that was given to our mother during her time of need. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Vicki’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America at alzfdn.org.
