Wayne Harrison

June 30, 1931 — July 27, 2016

Wayne E. "Jake" Harrison, 85, of Dallas, passed away, Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at The Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. Born in Trucksville, he was the son of the late Jacob and Elizabeth Hoover Harrison and was a graduate of Westmoreland Schools. He was employed as a Dairyman with Harter's Dairy and retired from Blue Ribbon. Wayne was a member of The Trucksville United Methodist Church. He was also a member of Wyoming Masonic Lodge #468 F & AM, as well as South Mountain Land Association. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, He had an extremely good sense of humor and loved to make people laugh and enjoy them selves. He cherished time spent with his family and friends. Wayne was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. Wayne was preceded in death not only by his parents but also by a sister, Lorraine Chamberlain. He is survived by his wife the former Jean Santarelli, Dallas, sons, Richard Harrison and his wife Jeannie, Cincinnati, OH, David Harrison and his wife Melissa, Shavertown, Daughter-in-law, Patricia Harrison, Grandchildren, Angela O'Kane, David R. Harrison, Marissa Siok, Jacob Harrison, Great Grandchildren, Tyler O"Kane and Harper Rose Harrison. Brother, Richard (Dick) Harrison of Trucksville. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 10:00 AM at The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with The Rev. Dick Williams, Pastor, Trucksville United Methodist Church, officiating. Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
