Winifred Paulsen

Winifred Joyce Paulsen, 92, Dallas, passed away, Monday, July 16, 2018 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.  Born in Scarsdale, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Edna Coleman Fellows and was a graduate of Scarsdale NY schools.  She and her husband William owned and operated WEPCO Inc., in Pittston, Pa for many years. Bill and Winnie, as they were affectionately known by family and friends would spend much of their time in the summer at their cherished Lake house at Oquaga Lake in Deposit NY.  Over the years they enjoyed the company of loving lake Friends.  Family was everything and she enjoyed making intricate cakes for many important occasion and loved hosting family at annual reunions for over 47 years.    The family attended the Dallas United Methodist Church.

Winifred was preceded in death by her husband William E. Paulsen and a brother Leonard Fellows. Surviving are Sister, Doris Brownlow, Binghamton, NY, daughter, Wendy Paulsen Carey, Dallas, Sons, Christopher Paulsen and his wife Amy, Binghamton, NY, and Russell Paulsen and his wife Kelley, Kennesaw, GA.  Grandchildren:  Dan, Abbey, Dave, Dana, Cole, Cameron, and Taylor; and niece Ginny Winslow and Nathan and many other nephews and nieces …. and a great granddaughter on the way in September, Nora Rose.   She would like to send sincere appreciation to her many friends and caregivers who became like Family.   Winnie made it to 92 and never missed a week with her great friend Rita, at Rita’s Hair Salon.

Our beloved Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Aunt, Neighbor and Friend will be greatly missed and remembered by all. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, July 29, 2018.  Friends may visit and starting at 1 pm with Service at 2:30 pm at the Dallas Methodist Church, Dallas PA. A service at Oquaga Lake is being planned for July 28th and will be announced soon.  Arrangements are under the direction of The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pa.
